Medicare Supplement Plan D
There are some high risk areas in Medicare, and Medicare Supplement Plan D offers coverage for many of them. The Plan G or Plan F premium is often more expensive but more comprehensive, making the Medigap Plan D premium less in most situations.
Generally, those who elect Plan D are willing to risk the possible expense of the Medicare Part B deductible, excess charges, and any preventative care. It is generally a good idea to consider pricing on Plans F and G before purchasing one of these plans.
This guide will help you learn more about the plan so you can make an informed decision:
Days 1-60 – $1,288 Part A Deductible. (Plan D Pays)
Days 61-90 – $322 per day co-payment. (Plan D Pays)

Lifetime Reserve Days are 60 extra days of Medicare-paid care, subject to the $644 per day co-payment. When you use a reserve day, Medicare permanently subtracts it from your 60-day lifetime limit.
